🔒 Data & Privacy

Privacy Policy

Betgee is committed to protecting the personal data of every user on our platform. This Privacy Policy sets out what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and what rights you hold over your own data.

Last updated: 1 January 2026

Privacy at a Glance

The cards below summarise betgee's core privacy commitments. They are provided for orientation only — the full binding text follows in the policy sections below.

Data Minimisation

We collect only the personal data that is genuinely necessary for account operation, KYC compliance, payment processing and support. We do not harvest data we have no legitimate use for.

No Data Sales

Betgee does not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third-party advertisers or data brokers. Your data is used to operate your account and communicate with you — nothing else.

SSL Encryption

All data transmitted between your device and betgee's servers is protected by TLS 1.3 / 256-bit SSL encryption. Sensitive fields such as passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.

Your Rights Matter

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. You may also withdraw marketing consent and request data portability where technically feasible.

Defined Retention Periods

Personal data is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable legal or regulatory obligations (e.g., AML record-keeping requirements).

Breach Notification

In the event of a personal data breach that poses a risk to affected users, betgee will notify impacted individuals and relevant supervisory authorities within the timeframes required by applicable law.

Pakistani users: Betgee is not established in Pakistan and does not hold a Pakistani data protection registration. We process your data under the laws of the jurisdiction in which we are licensed. This Policy is provided in English. If you have any questions in Urdu, our support team can assist on request.

These providers are independent data controllers for the data they collect directly. Betgee is not responsible for their privacy practices.

7 International Data Transfers

Betgee operates internationally and your personal data may be processed in countries outside Pakistan, including the jurisdiction in which betgee holds its gaming licence. Where data is transferred internationally, betgee takes steps to ensure that an adequate level of data protection is maintained, such as through contractual protections with data processors, or by relying on recognised adequacy frameworks where applicable.

Users who are located in Pakistan should be aware that their data may be processed outside Pakistan. Betgee does not represent that the processing jurisdiction's laws are equivalent to any specific Pakistani data protection framework. By using the Platform, you acknowledge and consent to the international transfer of your data as described in this Policy.

8 Data Retention

Betgee retains personal data for as long as is necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, subject to applicable legal and regulatory requirements. The following general retention principles apply:

  • Active account data: Retained for the duration of the account relationship and for a defined period following account closure, consistent with our AML obligations and dispute resolution requirements.

  • Technical logs: Retained for up to twelve (12) months in aggregated or pseudonymised form for security and analytics purposes.

When personal data is no longer required, it is securely deleted or anonymised so that it can no longer be linked to an individual.

9 Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Betgee uses cookies and similar technologies on the Platform. Cookies are small data files stored on your device that help us remember your preferences and deliver a consistent experience across sessions.

9.1 Types of Cookies We Use

  • Strictly necessary cookies: Essential for Platform security, session authentication and core functionality. These cannot be disabled without disrupting normal Platform use.
  • Functional cookies: Remember your preferences such as language, currency (PKR or otherwise) and responsible gambling limit settings.
  • Analytics cookies: Collect aggregated and anonymised data about how the Platform is used, helping us improve the user experience.
  • Marketing cookies: Used only where you have provided consent to receive personalised promotions. You may withdraw this consent at any time via your account settings.

You may manage or disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings or via the cookie preference centre on the Platform. Disabling certain cookies may affect Platform functionality.

10 Marketing Communications

With your consent, betgee may send promotional messages about new offers, bonuses, sports betting markets (including cricket, PSL, ICC tournaments, football and UFC), and platform updates via email, SMS or push notification.

You may withdraw your marketing consent at any time by:

  • Clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email
  • Updating your communication preferences in your account settings
  • Contacting our support team at [email protected] (plain text — not a clickable link)

Withdrawal of marketing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal, and does not prevent betgee from sending service-related transactional communications (e.g., account verification emails, withdrawal confirmations, responsible gambling alerts).

Note on self-exclusion: If you activate self-exclusion through our Responsible Gambling tools, betgee will immediately remove you from all marketing lists for the duration of the exclusion period.

11 Your Data Rights

Betgee acknowledges that individuals hold rights over their personal data. Subject to applicable law and legitimate restrictions (such as AML record-keeping obligations), you may exercise the following rights:

Right of Access

Request a copy of the personal data betgee holds about you, along with information about how it is being used.

Right to Rectification

Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data held about you.

Right to Erasure

Request deletion of your personal data where there is no overriding legal obligation to retain it.

Right to Restriction

Request that betgee restricts processing of your data in certain circumstances, such as while accuracy is being contested.

Right to Portability

Request a machine-readable copy of data you provided to betgee, where technically feasible and where processing is based on consent or contract.

Right to Object

Object to processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes or where processing is based on legitimate interests.

To exercise any of the above rights, please contact our support team using the details in Section 16. Betgee will acknowledge your request within a reasonable timeframe and aim to fulfil it within thirty (30) days, subject to identity verification and any applicable restrictions.

Limitation: Certain data — particularly KYC documents and transaction records — must be retained for defined periods under AML law. Erasure requests cannot override these legal obligations.

12 Security Measures

Betgee implements a range of technical and organisational security measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. These include:

  • TLS 1.3 / 256-bit SSL encryption for all data in transit
  • Password hashing using industry-standard cryptographic algorithms — passwords are never stored in plain text
  • Two-factor authentication (2FA) availability for account access
  • Role-based access controls limiting internal staff access to personal data on a need-to-know basis
  • Regular security assessments and vulnerability monitoring
  • Data processor agreements requiring equivalent security standards from all third-party service providers
  • Incident response procedures for data breach detection, containment and notification

While betgee takes data security seriously, no system is completely immune to breach. Users are encouraged to use strong, unique passwords, enable 2FA and report any suspected account compromise to [email protected] immediately.

13 Children's Privacy

The betgee Platform is strictly for adults aged 18 years or older — or the higher minimum age required by the applicable jurisdiction or license conditions. We do not knowingly collect personal data from persons below the minimum eligible age.

If betgee becomes aware that personal data has been collected from a minor, that data will be deleted immediately and the associated account closed. If you believe a minor has registered on the Platform, please contact us immediately at [email protected].

18+ only: Being of adult age does not automatically make online gambling lawful in Pakistan. Users are responsible for understanding and complying with applicable local laws before accessing the Platform.

14 Third-Party Links & Services

The Platform may reference or interact with third-party services — for example, payment gateways used to process deposits and withdrawals. These third parties are independent data controllers and their privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policies. Betgee is not responsible for the data practices of third parties.

Users should review the privacy policies of any payment provider they use — including Easypaisa, JazzCash, Raast, HBL, UBL, Meezan Bank, Bank Alfalah or any other service — before initiating transactions. The mention of these providers in this Policy is for context only and does not imply any endorsement, partnership or data-sharing arrangement beyond what is necessary for payment processing.

15 Amendments to This Policy

Betgee reserves the right to update or replace this Privacy Policy at any time. Where changes are material — for example, if we introduce a new purpose for processing, begin sharing data with a new category of third party, or significantly change retention periods — we will provide reasonable advance notice via a prominent notice on the Platform and, where possible, by email to registered Users.

The updated Policy will be identified by a revised "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any revision constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy. If you do not agree with a material change, you should discontinue use of the Platform and may request account closure in accordance with the Terms & Conditions.
